Careers with Certus
Help Us Save Lives
Certus is an early-stage medical device company. Our technologies leverage automation and precision to increase survival and quality-of-life in the aftermath of critical illness and injury. At the end of the day, we’re motivated by saving lives, and we’re looking for teammates who want to partner with us in that mission. Working in a start-up comes with its own unique challenges and opportunities–and if that sounds exciting to you, read on to discover what it would be like to work with Certus.
Our mission
We are all-in on the technology pipeline we’re developing. The products we’re making, they’re not for somebody else; they’re the tools that we want to use every day in our clinical practices. Because we’re health care providers ourselves, we know how significant these products can be–we could impact thousands of lives a year if we’re successful. We’re looking for teammates with a strong moral compass, motivated by the goal of helping people.
Our team
We’re pretty impressed with the team we’ve put together thus far. Our core members are physicians, researchers, and engineers with deep expertise, along with a world-class advisory board. Our team is really important to us–we not only desire each person to function effectively as a professional, but also holistically, as an individual. We strive to put people over profit, and we want our teammates to know that they are valued. But we also push each other. We want an open team dynamic that welcomes ideas and dissent, as well as challenges each other to create and innovate collectively beyond our individual capacities. We’re looking for team members with integrity and a slight bent to risk-taking to join forces with us.
Our flexibility
As a company and as individuals, we value agility and flexibility. We are growing an expert team that can lean into challenges–whether they are product hurdles, a pandemic, or unexpected opportunities. As such, we try to nurture the ability to rethink deeply-held assumptions, both from an engineering and a clinical standpoint. But we also understand the importance of keeping a balance between work and family. To us, success is only success if our team is healthy. We’re looking for people with skill and high-capacity, but we also want to foster a healthy environment for our team.
Our edge
Yes, we’re a start-up, but don’t lose sight of our excellent track record of bringing in funding to ensure the health and longevity of our team and the company. And as we grow, you will grow. We’re offering the opportunity to be part of an adventure–sailing into uncharted waters for the sake of a larger impact on healthcare.
In short–we’re looking for people interested in being on the cutting edge of critical care technology development. Is that you?
